Hello! My name is Clark.  I am a self-taught artist. In 2016, after a life-time of noticing beautiful art everywhere, I decided I would try to see if I could paint what I saw. I took no classes or had any instructors. I just sat down and started. I spent a year and more making mistakes and learning. I was determined not to give up, even when some paintings just didn't seem to work.

Slowly it began to come together. There was a point where it seemed to just click in my head and I understood. Oh, I didn't understand completely, but something--colors, shapes, lines--they all made sense and my paintings started to come to life.  I discovered that I truly love to paint, and could transfer what I see in my mind's eye onto the canvas. Painting helps me express a real freedom and a way to look at life. Now, I share these paintings with you.

Today I paint anything, and everything. I would love to paint a special, custom painting, designed by you, for you. 

Today, I paint in a small studio I’ve created in my small house in Lawrence Kansas. I paint everything-- portraits, animals, pets, landscapes, still life, and more.
